Plumbing Inspection in Hudson, FL

Roughly 27% of the people who own in Hudson bought since 2018. A normal rate for a town this size, and normal is where the gaps in a standard inspection do their quiet work.

The one-paragraph answer

In Hudson, 27% of owner-occupied homes have changed hands since 2018. Whichever side of a sale you are on, the exclusions decide what you know: a standard inspection stops at the visible plumbing and leaves the sewer lateral to a camera survey.

PresalePipe is a referral service, not a contractor or a home inspector. We connect homeowners and buyers with independent contractors. Contractors are required to hold whatever credential their state or municipality demands. Every state page sets out who licenses plumbers there and where to check, so you can confirm before work begins. We carry out no inspections and no work, we do not set prices, and we never charge homeowners anything — the contractors in our network pay us when we route them a call.

When Hudson moved in

With turnover near the middle, roughly one owner in five or six arrived recently. For everyone else the last time the plumbing was examined by a third party was whenever they bought.

Universe: 15,114 occupied housing units, of which 11,635 are owner-occupied. This counts when the CURRENT occupant moved in, so it measures recent moves as a share of the housing stock — not a rate of sales per year.

What the inspection will not cover

Wells, pumps, pressure tanks, storage tanks and filters are excluded by both standards. On a property with its own supply, the equipment feeding the whole house sits outside the inspection carried out on it.

What it is required to cover

ASHI requires the energy source and vent system of the water heating equipment to be covered, and InterNACHI requires the same ground from the other direction. Where the two standards overlap is the part of the report you can rely on whichever association the inspector belongs to.

The full list of obligations is published here. Reading it once is what stops a standard note from looking like a finding.

What to do about it

Write down where the main water shut-off and the main fuel shut-off are. InterNACHI requires both locations to be described, and they are the two most useful lines in the document.

Before you accept a report, read what it did not have to cover against what it did. Then decide whether the drains outside need their own visit.

Florida licenses are issued by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation, which publishes a public search you can use before work begins. Florida distinguishes state-certified contractors from registered contractors, who are limited to particular counties.
