Plumbing Inspection in Mooresboro, NC

In Mooresboro, 24% of owner households moved in during 2018 or later — close to the middle of the towns we cover. Enough movement that inspections are routine, not enough that anybody treats them as routine.

The one-paragraph answer

In Mooresboro, 24% of owner-occupied homes have changed hands since 2018. Whichever side of a sale you are on, the exclusions decide what you know: a standard inspection stops at the visible plumbing and leaves the sewer lateral to a camera survey.

PresalePipe is a referral service, not a contractor or a home inspector. We connect homeowners and buyers with independent contractors. Contractors are required to hold whatever credential their state or municipality demands. Every state page sets out who licenses plumbers there and where to check, so you can confirm before work begins. We carry out no inspections and no work, we do not set prices, and we never charge homeowners anything — the contractors in our network pay us when we route them a call.

When Mooresboro moved in

An average rate hides two different populations: recent buyers with a report, and long-standing owners without one. The advice for the two is not the same.

Universe: 2,777 occupied housing units, of which 2,017 are owner-occupied. This counts when the CURRENT occupant moved in, so it measures recent moves as a share of the housing stock — not a rate of sales per year.

What the inspection will not cover

ASHI asks for the predominant material of the water service, distribution and drain-waste-vent pipes to be described. Predominant is an honest word for a house that has been altered more than once, and it is not a complete answer about any single run.

What it is required to cover

The water heater is covered in more detail than most of the system: InterNACHI takes in the energy source, the venting connections, the temperature and pressure-relief valve, seismic bracing where it applies, and the labeled capacity. What it stops short of is operating any of it.

What is actually covered — because silence in a report means one thing about a covered system and something completely different about an excluded one.

What to do about it

If you are selling, establish it before somebody else does. The same finding is worth more to a buyer who discovered it than to one who was told.

Ten minutes of reading covers it: what nobody was required to look at, what they were, and the drain run that is a separate instruction altogether.
