Plumbing Inspection in Reinholds, PA

Reinholds is settled. Only 12% of owner households moved in during 2018 or later, which means most of the plumbing here has not been looked at by anybody in a long time.

The one-paragraph answer

Reinholds is settled, with 12% of owner households having moved in since 2018. The plumbing most likely to matter in a house held that long is the part no standard inspection covers, which is the buried sewer lateral.

PresalePipe is a referral service, not a contractor or a home inspector. We connect homeowners and buyers with independent contractors. Contractors are required to hold whatever credential their state or municipality demands. Every state page sets out who licenses plumbers there and where to check, so you can confirm before work begins. We carry out no inspections and no work, we do not set prices, and we never charge homeowners anything — the contractors in our network pay us when we route them a call.

When Reinholds moved in

A settled town accumulates deferred questions. Nobody has been obliged to look, so nobody has, and the first person to find out is often whoever is selling.

Universe: 2,566 occupied housing units, of which 2,401 are owner-occupied. This counts when the CURRENT occupant moved in, so it measures recent moves as a share of the housing stock — not a rate of sales per year.

What the inspection will not cover

Gas leak testing is not part of a home inspection. The fuel shut-off gets located and described; the line itself is not tested, and no part of the report should be read as saying it was.

What it is required to cover

Both standards cover the interior drain, waste and vent system, and ASHI asks for the predominant material of the service, distribution and DWV pipes to be described. A report naming one material is describing the majority of the house, not every run in it.

The rest of what an inspector must do is set out here. It is shorter than the excluded list and it is the half that tells you what a finding is worth.

What to do about it

Where a report says a condition was observed but its extent could not be established, that is the sentence to act on. It means the boundary of the inspection was reached, not that the problem is small.

The two standards are published in full and worth ten minutes: what is excluded, what is covered, and why the drains outside the house are a separate instruction.

Checking a credential in Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania has no state license for plumbers. Its Department of Labor and Industry states it has no jurisdiction and keeps no records of which municipalities require one, so the only reliable answer is your own city or township. Start here. Ask the contractor which municipality licenses them and confirm it with that office before work begins.

Inspection report in front of you?Read us the plumbing lines and nothing else — we do not want the document. We will route you to a contractor covering your area who can quote the items on it, and you are never charged by us. We take Reinholds requests that never appeared on any inspection.
